At this time, we are still operating under state COVID-19 guidelines, including requiring everyone to wear masks and practice social distancing to keep you, staff, and our community safe.
Currently, as of 3/29, our office spaces are still NOT open to the public for safety purposes. We will update you when this changes as we monitor the COVID-19 situation. Access to the Syringe Services Program, food pantry, and case management remains available.
HARM REDUCTION SERVICES
Harm reduction is a principle based in respect for the rights and agency of people who use drugs. To us, this translates into a relationship of respect, care, and support for the lived experiences and decisions of each of our clients, no matter their history or present reality. We offer support without judgement in a way that prioritizes our clients' needs.
HEAL's Harm Reduction Program provides education on substance use disorder and harm reduction principles in communities across Maine. The program is home to HEAL's Naloxone distribution program, getting life saving reversal drugs into the hands of those who may be at risk for opioid overdose.
