LGBTQ+ TOBACCO AND CANCER
EQUITY PROGRAM
HEAL's Tobacco/Cancer Equity Project addresses tobacco
related health disparities by supporting LGBTQ Mainers in
quitting tobacco and gaining access to important cancer screenings. Through this program, HEAL offered an LGBTQ-friendly version of the American Lung Association's Freedom From Smoking program and works with the Maine Tobacco Quit Line and Healthy Maine Partnerships to ensure that their services are culturally competent and welcoming to the LGBTQ+ community.
